Current and Planned Activities

• Assist stakeholders in securing funding to implement TMDL requirements for sediment and bacteria in lower Boise River, as well as allocations from the Snake River-Hells Canyon TMDL.
• Actively and effectively participate on local and regional water quality issues, providing a voice for Lower Boise stakeholders. These issues include the Blueprint for Good Growth and local planning activities.
• Gather data and prepare annual progress reports to DEQ on the status of TMDL implementation activities in the watershed.
• Begin the implementation planning process for TMDLs on the tributaries.
• Continue testing, sampling, and monitoring, in cooperation with the USGS, to characterize water quality in the lower Boise River watershed.
• Continue outreach program to involve current and potential stakeholders in the implementation of TMDL activities.
